The latest rumor from notable leaker Benjamin Geskin suggests that Apple will launch the iPhone 8 with four different color options, including a brand new “mirror-like” finish.
Quoting an unknown industry source, Geskin used shots of existing mirrored iPhone cases to give an idea of what the finish might look like.

An eye-catching new color option could be a way to distinguish the high-end iPhone 8 from the two iterative upgrades expected to be unveiled this September – likely named iPhone 7S and iPhone 7S Plus. Last year’s devices featured an ultra-shiny new Jet Black coloration, and earlier this year a special Product(RED) edition of the iPhone 7 was released – so there’s precedent for special finishes.
Presumably, the other three options would be more conventional iPhone colors – perhaps black, silver, and rose gold.
Don’t forget, last week saw rumors that Apple may ditch fingerprint scanners entirely, to be replaced with advanced facial recognition for unlocking the device and authenticating purchases. We’re not entirely convinced, but it’s possible – you can read more about the Touch ID saga here.
