If you’re sick of typing, you can dictate messages that will then be written out as text. To do this, tap the microphone key next to the spacebar and start speaking. Once finished, just tap Done.
To include punctuation, just speak it. For example, for the sentence “Good afternoon, how are you?” you would say, “Good afternoon comma how are you question mark.” You can even add line breaks by saying, “new paragraph.”
However, if you don’t see the microphone key on your keyboard, you may need to enable dictation.
To do so, launch Settings, choose General, then Keyboards, and activate Enable Dictation at the bottom.
