Apple will launch a new line of Mac computers at a special event taking place on October 27, sources have reportedly told Recode.
The rumors surrounding a new launch have been strong, but there has recently been doubt as to whether it would still take place this month.
These will be the first new models since the launch of the new MacOS Sierra in September, and will arrive in time for the holiday season. The event is expected to happen at or near its Cupertino campus rather than at the San Francisco location of its recent iPhone 7 launch.
It’s believed the MacBook line will lose the 11-inch Air model, with the focus for super-thin laptops moving to the 12-inch MacBook and the 13-inch Air. Elsewhere, it’s believed new MacBook Pros could lose all standard USB ports in favor of USB-C ports, while also adding a new OLED touchscreen bar.
