Apple comes to the Big Apple
‘Twas the night before Halloween, and there’s no mistaking. Tim Cook has spoken: there’s more in the making.
Apple has sent out press invites for a special event in New York later this month, just a handful of weeks after its last big launch event. It’s anticipated the event will unveil a new 11-inch iPad Pro with Face ID capabilities and more. The rumor mill is also suggesting a slew of new Macs could be launched, included a long-awaited update to the Mac mini line.
For the first time ever, Apple has sent a series of unique illustrated invites to some of the biggest news publications in the world. (The graphics we’ve highlighted above were sent to CNET, CNBC, and TechCrunch.) This strange attention to detail, along with the cryptic phrase “there’s more in the making,” and the event’s unusual setting at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, implies Apple is preparing an event that will focus on the creative output possible with its devices.
As such, we expect to see the rumored second-generation Apple Pencil unveiled at the event, and we wouldn’t be surprised to see some audio accessories featured on stage too. This won’t be as big an event as the annual September iPhone launch, but it might be even more fun.
