Apple has announced its plans for the upcoming Black Friday and Cyber Monday period. This year, same as last, that involves a gift card giveaway between $50 and $200 depending on what you buy.
Each year Apple holds a four-day shopping event around Black Friday. Starting on November 26 (aka Black Friday), and running through to November 29 (aka Cyber Monday), anyone buying an eligible product will receive an Apple Gift Card to put towards their next purchase.
The twist is that many of Apple’s newest products aren’t part of the promotion. For example, there are no gift cards available for purchases of iPhone 13, Apple Watch Series 7, or the very latest Mac computers. But if you’re not after the top-of-the-line, this may be a tempting time to make a purchase.
This year Apple is offering a $50/£40 gift card for purchasing an iPhone 12, Apple Watch S3, Apple TV, Beats headphones, or certain accessories. You’ll get $75/£60 for AirPods, and $100/£80 for iPad Pro or a MacBook. There’s even a whopping $200/£160 available for anyone who picks up the Intel-powered 27-inch iMac, although with an M1X upgrade surely right around the corner this deal in particular feels like Apple desperately trying to shift old stock before it’s replaced.
Still, any form of savings from Apple are a rare and wonderful thing, and free cash to spend on future Apple purchases is nothing to be sniffed at.
Don’t forget that although you can browse the deals already, they won’t go live until Friday. So hold off buying anything until then!
